Writing: Taking Off the Armor

I write about my spiritual and religious upheaval at my Substack newsletter, Taking Off the Armor.  I have been an active Mormon for my whole life and believed all that the church taught until my faith began to unravel in 2015. My story expresses the ups and downs of a faith crisis: anger towards my church, fear, grief, questioning and wondering, my husband and kids leaving the church, navigating a mixed-faith marriage -- all while expanding my spirituality in meaningful ways. Many of the art pieces from my current collection follow this spiritual journey.
